We embark on an adventure: harnessing the children’s imaginations, to transport them from the classroom to a small Indian village. We aim to make the workshops both fun and memorable so that everyone can experience the contrast between our lives and those of the villagers and develop an understanding of the challenges these small communities face in the modern age. We discover how the Bettakurumba and Kattunaikan tribes live in harmony in the valley of the Chemba tree. After years of constant upheaval these two tribes have had enough and begin to fight back. Learn how “they fought with words” and won their case to stay on the land that truly belongs to them. Your children will learn the importance of team work and negotiation in this innovative, action packed and thought provoking workshop featuring music and lots of drama! Ideal for KS1 and KS2.
